Area Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty automobiles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with swastikas, they stated in a release.
Law enforcement state they were contacted late on Wednesday evening, when a individual discovered that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued fluid.
The substance had been placed in the shape of a banned symbol, they stated.
Officers then located multiple other vandalized cars and house walls in the surrounding area.
These symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.
Officials say initial examinations show the substance was probably human bodily fluid.
"There is still no lead as to its origin; officials are currently not informed of any harm in relation with the event," they commented.
Local authorities announced they were attempting "to unravel the case" and have requested to the community for tips.
A senior political figure said the attack left him stunned and had to be resolved promptly.
"This event affects the core of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on online, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a gunman targeting individuals of migrant background in five years prior.
