I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
